How to read this chart
- Up means smarter. The score is the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index: how well a model does on a set of hard tests.
- Left means cheaper. The cost is what it takes, in US dollars, for the model to do one task from those tests.
- Each line is one model. Its dots are the same model told to think less or more, from Low to Max effort. More thinking usually means a higher score and a higher bill. Hover over or tap a model's dots to see its effort levels. Click a model's name to hide it, and click again to bring it back.
- The dotted line is the best value line. It joins the dots that no other dot beats on both price and score. If you want the most brains for your money, pick a dot on this line.
- The best place to be is the top left: smart and cheap.
